Lake Kawaguchiko Fireworks Festival: Traffic Regulations and Shuttle Service Notice

The annual "Lake Kawaguchiko Lake Festival" is just around the corner! As part of the summer fireworks events in the Fujigoko Lake region, each lake hosts its own festival, culminating in the grand finale at Lake Kawaguchiko.

Fireworks Schedule:

• August 1st: Lake Yamanaka - Hoko Matsuri
• August 2nd: Lake Sai - Ryugu Matsuri
• August 3rd: Lake Motosu - Shinzo Matsuri
• August 4th: Lake Shoji - Ryokan Matsuri (Lake Kawaguchiko Lake Festival Eve Fireworks, 8:00 PM - 8:20 PM)
• August 5th: Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Festival (Fireworks start at 7:45 PM)

Our cottages with "Fuji View" rooms offer stunning views of the fireworks. (Even if you don't have a Fuji View room, you can still enjoy a great view from the lakeside, just a 6-minute walk away.)

Please note that due to the festival, there will be traffic regulations and our shuttle service will be suspended as follows:

Traffic Regulations:

• August 4th (Sat): 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Road closures and detours around the lake shore.
• August 5th (Sun): 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Extensive road closures and detours around the lake shore.

Shuttle Service Suspension:

• August 4th (Sat): Last shuttle from Kawaguchiko Station: 4:00 PM.
• August 5th (Sun): Shuttle service will be suspended all day.
